Like anything in life, there’s no perfect time to start.

So you just have to wake up on the right side of the bed tomorrow, tell yourself it’s time for a change, and start.

Start what?

An online business.

How do you “just start” an online business? You need to be able to identify someone’s problem and offer a solution.

Here are a couple of simplified steps:

1. Find a niche you're passionate about (e.g. Wealth)

2. Get specific about your niche (e.g. Wealth > Building Wealth Through Entrepreneurship > Online Business)

3. Find a skill you enjoy (e.g. Email Marketing)

4. Study that skill. Study more. Practice.

5. And boom, you have a business. You can offer your email marketing skills to solve people's problems.

Start as a bootstrapping freelancer.

Find local or small businesses that can benefit from your skillset. Offer to help them for FREE. Overdeliver, and in exchange, just ask for a testimonial.

Create content about your skills that speaks directly to your target audience within your niche.

After doing this for some time, you will have built up a library of contacts, testimonials, and experience that you can monetize (more about how to monetize below…).

Ok, so you don’t want to do the whole freelancer-to-entrepreneur thing, huh?

You don’t have to (although I highly recommend it to build your confidence).

There are 4 business models that you can build around to launch an online business in just 7 days.

Let me explain…

4 online business ideas.

1) Affiliate marketing

Affiliate marketing allows you to earn commissions by promoting other people’s products or services. Did you know that almost every brand you love has an affiliate program you can join and earn money from?

Amazon, HubSpot, Fiverr, ClickFunnels, Shopify… you name it, really.

The start-up costs are low. All you need is an online audience that you can genuinely recommend products or services you use.

It’s true, that some affiliate marketers come off as scammy (Don’t be this guy or gal).

But when affiliate marketing is executed with integrity, it can be a low-risk, high-reward model.

2) Digital products and courses

This business model is great for people passionate about teaching and sharing knowledge in a specific niche. It’s easily scalable and offers unlimited passive income as your product or course can be sold repeatedly without additional costs.

Digital courses have become a popular form of education. The space is crowded, so dive deep into your specific niche, and ask yourself, “Would I purchase this for myself?”

If the answer is anything other than, “Fuck Yes!” The answer is no, find another angle.

3) Coaching and consulting

Coaching and consulting are about helping clients reach specific goals or solve specific problems. It’s highly flexible, as you can offer one-on-one sessions or group coaching.

This business model piggybacks off the concept of starting as a bootstrapping freelancer (as we talked about above).

After overdelivering free value in exchange for testimonials, leverage the fuck out of the social proof and credibility you’ve built to convert clients.

Boom! Now you run a coaching or consulting business.

4) Events (yes, you can launch an events business in just 7 days)

Organizing online or in-person events takes some skill, but the upside is unlimited and can be the most lucrative model of these four.
